- ACE inhibitors absolutely contraindicated during pregnancy
- Most common problem in adults with surgically repaired TOF is pulmonary regurgitation
- Thrombus in iliofemoral vein - Apixaban 10 mg BD for 7 days followed by 5 mg BD
- Monocytes & smooth muscle cells primary constituents of fibrous plaques
- Female gender is risk factor for development of ACE i induced angioedema
- s/p mechanical MVR, on warfarin <5 mg daily, to minimize fetal risk dose-adjusted LMWH entire pregnancy and UFH just prior to delivery
- Clopidogrel and prasugrel are irreversible inhibitors of platelet P2Y12 ADP receptor
- Eisenmenger, increased Hb & Hct, reduced MCV, fatigue, headaches - do iron studies
- Decreased LVEF <40%, worsening dyspnea, HTN, bradycardia, on frusemide & ACE i - add spironolactone
- Those with high resting vagal tone, such as conditioned athletes may exhibit pauses longer than 3 seconds during sleep. This finding is not sufficient to justify PPM
