  • PCI through transfemoral route,TIMI 3 flow, hypotension, tachycardia, ECG unchanged, echo no pericardial effusion - retroperitoneal bleeding, CT abdomen without contrast
  • NSTEMI, bilateral crackles (heart failure) - coronary angiography
  • Paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules and prevents cell division
  • Hybrid revascularization involves LIMA-to-LAD grafting and PCI of ≥1 non-LAD arteries, when there are limitations to traditional CABG, eg. heavily calcified proximal aorta, lack of suitable graft conduit, unfavourable LAD for PCI, may be performed in one operative setting or as staged procedure
  • Fever, bibasilar fine rales, systolic murmur and diastolic murmur along left sternal border, echo severe AR and vegetations - AVR recommended
  • Acebutolol has inherent sympathomimetic activity
  • Acupuncture should not be used for improving symptoms or reducing CV risk in patients with SIHD (class III)
  • Dyspnea, severe AR, SAVR indicated if LVESD >50 mm, LVEDD >65 mm, LVEF<=55%
  • LQT1 patients experience cardiac events during swimming
  • Red discoloration of hands after cold exposure, disappears when rewarmed, family history of Raynaud phenomenon, no pain after cold exposure, no pallor or acrocyanosis - follow up as needed
